A collection · for the fearful heart
Fear is not a sign that something is wrong with your faith — it is a sign that you are human in a world that often feels bigger than you. Scripture does not shame the fearful; it keeps speaking the same steadying words: "Do not fear, for I am with you" (Isaiah 41:10). Notice that God rarely removes the dark valley. Instead He goes into it with you and changes what the dark means. David, no stranger to dread, found the honest middle ground: "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you" (Psalm 56:3) — fear admitted, trust chosen, both at once. And Paul reminds us what the Spirit actually carries: "power and love and self-control," not timidity (2 Timothy 1:7). These devotionals are for the nights when fear is loud. Read one slowly, name what frightens you out loud to God, and let His nearness be louder than the fear.
