A landing · meeting God by name
In Scripture a name is never just a label — it is a revealing. When God tells us His names, He is telling us who He is and how He means to meet us. To Moses He said simply, "I AM WHO I AM" (Exodus 3:14) — the God who needs no source outside Himself, present tense, always. To the anxious He becomes "refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). To the lost He is the Shepherd who walks the valley at our side (Psalm 23). To the dying He says, "I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25). And to all who receive Him, the highest name of all is the most tender: "Father" (Matthew 6:9). This landing is a doorway. Below, each daily reading opens one of His names — a different facet of the same God — so you can come to know Him not as an idea but as a Person. Start with the name you most need today, and let it become a prayer.
