Hello, my friend… so glad you're with me today. This is By God's Call — day 11, Cast It on Him.

"Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." First Peter, chapter five, verse seven.

Let that land. Don't rush past it. There is an invitation here — and it is bigger than it first looks.

Anxiety. You know what it is. That thing that wakes up before you do. That weight already sitting on your chest before you even remember why. It is real. And the Word of God does not brush it aside. It doesn't say, "Don't feel that." It doesn't say, "If your faith were stronger, you wouldn't be here." It says — cast it. Bring it. Give it to me.

Because you were never built to carry that weight. Not ever. Anxiety is a burden that belongs somewhere else — and that somewhere is God.

But notice the word: casting. That is an action verb. It is not waiting for the worry to drift away on its own. It won't. Anxiety does not evaporate — it is transferred. You have to name it, you have to turn toward God and say, "This is too heavy for me. I am handing this over." That is a deliberate act. That is a choice.

And what gives you the courage to do it? Not your strength. His care. "Because he cares for you." You matter to God. Not just your problem — you. Before anything you are carrying today, there is someone who sees you, who knows you, and who is genuinely, deeply concerned about you. The invitation stands on that — not on your ability to let go, but on the certainty that there are hands strong enough to hold.

Now, the verse just before this one says to humble yourselves. That is not an accident. Handing your anxiety over is an act of humility. It is admitting the truth we resist so hard: I am not in control. It is not in my hands. And that is all right — because it is in His. Releasing control is not weakness. It is wisdom. It is faith.

And tomorrow, when the worry comes back — because worry has a habit of coming back — you do it again. This is not a one-time event. It is a daily practice. You will wake up, you will feel the weight, and you will cast it again. As many times as it takes. That is what it looks like to walk in faith.

So today, before breakfast — yes, before — pick up a piece of paper and a pen. Write down your biggest worry today. Real words, be honest. Then pray through it, line by line — not a rushed prayer, a real conversation. And when you are done, leave the paper behind. Not in your pocket. Leave it. It is a small gesture, but it does something inside you. It makes real what you just declared in prayer.

Because God did not ask you to fix it. He asked you to cast it.

Stay close to God. Pray — then act. I'll see you tomorrow, my friend.
